Karl Epp studied both classical and electrical guitar at the Richard-Strauß Conservatory for Music Munich, the Liszt School of Music Weimar and the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano. He received scholarships, e.g. from the Thyll-Foundation Zurich. Currently he is teaching guitar at the School of Music Johann Nepomuk Hummel Weimar and works as a freelance-musician. His musical activities include concerts with classical guitar solo as well as many chambermusic projects and bands, therefore classical and Rock/Pop/Jazz with an emphasis on the accompaniment of singers. He worked with Chris Howland, Lisa Martinek, Prof. Fabian Müller, Clemens Tiburtius, Prof. Dominik Greger, Sophie Grobler, Andrew Carrington, The Thuringian State Theatre Meiningen, The Thuringian State Theatre Eisenach, The Thuringian Sypmhonic, The Anhaltisches Theatre Dessau, The Jena Philharmonic and many others..
